Scott Fasano

I almost missed the life I was building.

I write about what success, responsibility and being the capable one can cost. I also work with people and businesses, where seeing the problem clearly is only useful if something changes.

Scott and his family walking barefoot along the beach.
The life I kept postponing.

A little of how I got here

I had the résumé.

I worked my way from loading bags on airplanes into executive roles. Later, I worked in turnarounds, logistics, hospitality and businesses that needed someone to take responsibility for what happened next.

There was a lot I could do. Being present in my own life was harder.

“I spent years building a life I thought I’d be able to enjoy one day… with my family. The same family I was running from.”

The living writing

Already There

Writing from inside life, before it becomes a lesson.

The writing moves between work, marriage, fatherhood, faith, fear and the ordinary decisions I can still make complicated.

Some pieces name something quickly. Others stay with the moment that taught me to see it.

“I spent years trying to fix my life with discipline. Turns out honesty worked better.”
“I no longer ask God to make the road easy. I ask for the courage to stay honest on it.”

In business

I look past the first explanation.

Every business runs on patterns. Some help it grow. Others keep the same problems coming back.

They show up in handoffs, decisions and processes nobody owns. They also show up in leadership. A conversation avoided. A decision postponed. Everything waiting on the person who has to handle it all.

Those patterns have consequences for the team, the customer and the business.

I work inside businesses to see what’s happening, understand what it’s costing and help change it. That means working with the people making the decisions and the operations those decisions shape.

Inside businesses

Clearer decisions, stronger operations and helping people take ownership of what happens next.

A Call for Help

I knew how to get ahead. I had no idea how to get back.

Childhood abuse. PTSD. Addiction. Cancer. A career that defied the odds. A life I’d built but was missing from.

Until I finally stopped to ask for directions. Back to myself. Back to the life that was already there.

The story of a man who finally asked for help and heard his own voice answer back.

The words are mine. What you recognize in them is yours.
